The State Government of Goa declared that the following days to be Gazetted and Restricted Holidays for the Government offices and Banks in Goa during the year 2022.

• Feast of St. Francis Xavier – December 03, 2022
• Goa Liberation Day – December 19, 2022
• Christmas Day – December 25, 2022

According to the Notification of Goa Government Holidays 2022, The above 3 days has been declared as Public Holiday for Central and State Govt offices in Goa during the month of December 2022.

• Gudi Padava – April 02, 2022
• Birth Anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar – April 14, 2022
• Good Friday – April 15, 2022
• May Day – May 01, 2022
• Eid-Ul-Fitr – May 3, 2022
• Id-UlZuha (Bakri-Id) – July 10, 2022
• Independence Day – August 15, 2022
• Ganesh Chaturthi (1st Day) – August 31, 2022
• Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd Day) –September 1, 2022
• Gandhi Jayanti – 02 October, 2022
• Dussehra (Vijaya Dashmi) – October 05, 2022
• Diwali – October 24, 2022
• Feast of St. Francis Xavier – December 03, 2022

The Holiday declared on Eid-Ul-Fitr and Eid-Ul-Zuha are subject to the appearance of the moon.

Goa Govt Special Holiday List 2022

Special Holidays are as follows:

• Mahashivratri – March – 01, 2022
• Milad-Un-Nabi or Id-e-Milad (Birthday of Prophet Md.) – October – 09, 2022
• Special Holiday on Mahashivratri applied shall be necessarily sanctioned. In case where employees do not avail of the Special Holiday on the designated day, the holiday may be availed of on any working day during the calendar year 2022 only.
• Special Holiday at Milad-Un-Nabi falls on Saturday as such request for Special Holiday on this day or in lieu of this does not arise.
• Special Holiday mentioned at Milad-Un-Nabi is subject to the appearance of the moon. Special Holidays can be prefixed or suffixed to any kind of Leave.
