7th Pay Commission has introduced the 7th CPC Pay Matrix Table for Central Government Employees

7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Chart (Table) for Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 (6th CPC Grade Pay 1800, 1900, 2000, 2400 and 2800)

The minimum and starting pay level and basic salary of Central Government employees is level 1 and Rs. 18000. The salary slab structure is designed in the table for pay level 1 in 40 stages. The employees coming under Group ‘C’ of classification of posts in Central Government Services, Pay Band – 1 in 6th CPC, the categories in pay level from 1 to 5.

Monthly Salary for 7th Pay Scale Level 1 to 5 (Group C)

The calculation of the minimum monthly salary for cg pay matrix level from 1 to 5 with examples are given below. (Note that according to your basic pay, total salary will reflect in your salary slip)

Pay Matrix Level-1: Basic scale Rs. 18,000 = Rs. 23,553 (Basic pay + 17% DA + 8% HRA + TA)
Pay Matrix Level-2: Basic scale Rs. 19,900 = Rs. 25,928 (Basic pay + 17% DA + 8% HRA + TA)
Pay Matrix Level-3: Basic scale Rs. 21,700 = Rs. 29,231 (Basic pay + 17% DA + 8% HRA + TA)
Pay Matrix Level-4: Basic scale Rs. 25,500 = Rs. 33,981 (Basic pay + 17% DA + 8% HRA + TA)
Pay Matrix Level-5: Basic scale Rs. 29,200 = Rs. 38,606 (Basic pay + 17% DA + 8% HRA + TA)

The new pay matrix incorporates all these features. Subsuming the grade pay, the rationalized matrix represents the whole universe of pay levels in one simple chart.

The levels have been rationalized too, displaying a logical pay progression. Employees would be able to see their pay level, where they fit in and how they are likely to progress over their career span. The Commission has also recommended simplified procedure for computation of pension.
