Sub:- Proper utilization of services of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS)
The service union has brought to the notice of this Department that the Gramin Dak Sevaks arc allegedly being harassed for not achieving targets set to them and for minor issues.
2. In this regard, it may be appreciated by all concerned that keeping in view the changing technological environment and customer needs. Department of Posts has brought technology induction at all levels to improve customer services and has ensured technology driven door to door delivery of services. It is really heartening that) with the active participation of Gramin Dak Sevaks. Darpan. Darpan CSI and IPPB door delivery. PMA etc. have been implemented to the great satisfaction of the customers. For this purpose some training programmes, awareness camps and post office melas are organized which cannot be restricted to post office working hours and held beyond fixed duty hours.

3. In the background of the above, it is impressed upon ail concerned to develop the team spirit by apprising, inspiring and motivating all stakeholders to achieve the organizational goal of rendering best mail, banking, insurance and other allied services to valuable customers. All arc requested to look into the grievances of the Gramin Dak Sevaks at their levels and to settle their admissible claims and NREGS, IPPB, RPLI incentives etc. without any delay as per the guidelines issued by the Department from time to time in order to motivate them for their best output. They may be made fully aware of the needs of the hour and impressed upon to cooperate in the process in a true team spirit without feeling harassed and let down.
